Only with meticulous attention to detail can we produce the best chamomile.  We use numerous control checks throughout our growing and production processes to ensure that only the finest chamomile flowers make it to your cup.

Seed Selection

We grow commercially-bred tetraploid varieties of German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) as these are higher yielding and contain greater concentrations of essential oil which gives our chamomile teas their distinctive taste and aroma.

Food Safety

As a food business we are required by law to demonstrate our compliance with food safety legislation.  We have a comprehensive HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system in place to keep our products safe.  We record each batch through every stage of our production process to provide full traceability from field to cup.

Organic Certification

We are organically certified with the Soil Association.  We don't use chemical inputs on our chamomile crops and have to provide evidence of this at our annual inspection.  The additional ingredients we use in our herbal blends are sourced only from suppliers that can provide proof of their organic status.  You can view our organic certification documents here

Microbiological Testing

Each crop is tested by an independent laboratory to ensure our products are within recommended microbiological limits.
